Liquitex Acrylic Gouache 410 Primary Yellow

Primary Yellow is a single-pigment, highly opaque primary colour made from arylic yellow. It provides excellent pure colour mixing and is useful for colour theory.

EXTREME COLOUR

The innovative formula has a super-concentration of pure, ultra-fine pigments evenly distributed in a flexible acrylic medium. FLAT & MAT
Gouache is traditionally the go-to for flat, matte results. Our acrylic gouache formula is no exception, giving you a smooth, matte colour without reflections or brush strokes. Because it doesn't reflect light, it's perfect for scanning and mixing with digital effects - making it ideal for illustration and design work.

HIGH COVERAGE
Acrylic gouache pushes the coverage of each colour to the limit. Gouache is traditionally known for its solid colour and tendency to crack when dry. The two attributes go hand in hand, so when designing this acrylic gouache, Liquitex looked at the problem differently. Liquitex wanted to ensure that you get the flexibility and smooth application that you expect from an acrylic, with the best possible coverage. Each colour was developed separately and Liquitex spent a great deal of time carefully selecting and balancing the type of pigment, the quantities used and the particle size distribution. The result is a full range of opaque and semi-opaque colours, giving you the best possible combination of coverage and flexibility, with a minimum of transparency.

DOES NOT CRACK
A durable, crack-free finish. Due to their high pigment content, most gouaches can crack during drying. Liquitex's sets a new standard. The acrylic binder brings flexibility to the paint film, giving you a reliable, non-cracking finish. 

LIQUIDITY
Other gouaches need water to work their way through. Liquitex's acrylic gouache gives you a creamy, fluid texture with excellent brushout, straight from the bottle. Application feels effortless and fluid, without dragging - making it perfect for covering a large area or fine details. And because you don't need to add water, your colours retain their true vibrancy.

ARCHIVE
On a client's wall. In a gallery. Your work should stay as you intended. As with all Liquitex products, the pigments in Acrylic Gouache have passed extensive tests for lightfastness. Each pigment is rated according to the American Society for Testing & Materials (ASTM), and we only use pigments rated ASTM I or II*. This means that your work will have the greatest possible archival resistance - at least 50 years + in gallery conditions - without colour shifting or fading, to remain vibrant and true.
