This modification means that Artisan Water Mixable Oil Colours can be used without solvents and can be cleaned with water. The colour has been formulated to look and work just like conventional oil colours. Colour depth, thickness/consistency, lightfastness, opacity/transparency, durability and drying times are all comparable to conventional oils. They are especially good for artists who share a workspace or do not wish to use solvents in school or at home. Using the Artisan oils, mediums and varnishes with the colour range ensures that the resulting combination remains water mixable.
